Locations come in three levels, and the Type dropdown offers presets for each:
Nest them as deep as your space needs β a single closet with three totes is Closet β Tote 1/2/3; a warehouse might be Warehouse β Aisle β Rack β Shelf β Bin.
The fastest way to set up: pick a prefix (like B), a starting number, a count, and where they go. Bulk add creates B1, B2, B3β¦ instantly, each with its own QR code.
Check the locations you want on the Locations tab, pick a size, click π¨ Print labels. A print window opens β print it like any page.
No app to install. The phone camera does everything.
Two ways, both fine: tap π· Scan a sticker in the app (it opens the camera with a scan window), or just point your phone's regular camera app at a sticker. Either way the container opens showing what's inside. Tap β/οΌ to adjust counts, or οΌ Add an item to this spot for new things. The π button in the header always brings you back to the scan-and-search screen.
On the phone's home screen, type what you're looking for in π Find an item. The result shows which container it's in and the full path (e.g. Storage Unit βΊ Shelf 1 βΊ Tote 3). Walk there, then tap π· Scan to confirm and scan the container in front of you β the app tells you β right container or β wrong one, keep looking before you open anything.
On any scanned container, tap π· Add a photo of the contents β snap a picture of the open box before it goes on the shelf. Next time anyone scans that sticker, the photos are right there to look at (tap one for full size). Photos shrink automatically before uploading, so they're quick even on weak signal.
Sign out on the phone page unlinks that phone. It needs its member link again to reconnect β handy if a phone is lost or someone leaves.
An item lives in exactly one location and has a name, a quantity, and a unit (ea, box, ftβ¦). The Items tab shows everything, filterable by location (with "include inside" to sweep a whole subtree) and searchable.
In Settings, define up to 3 extra fields that appear on every item β pick from suggestions (Material type, Condition, Category, Serial #β¦) or write your own. A "choice" column gives a dropdown, so entries stay consistent.
Give an item a "Low-stock alert at" number and it shows red with a β in the item list whenever the count drops to that level.
The Reports tab answers "what do I have and where is it" on paper or in a spreadsheet.
Members are the people who scan and count β they use no-password links, never accounts. Each member gets their own link, so the Activity log shows who changed what. Deactivate a member and their link (and phone) stops working immediately; reactivate any time.
Every add, count change, move, and delete is recorded in the Activity tab with who and when.
The platform admin login sees a single Accounts tab instead of inventory: every account with its plan and paid-through status, payment recording (+1 mo / +1 yr / comp), password resets, disable/enable, recent self-serve signups, and π trouble reports. New accounts create themselves from the welcome page and get their credentials by email automatically β the admin just gets a heads-up. Customer accounts never see each other.
Check that location in the console, print just that label again, and stick it over the old one. The QR code stays the same.
No. Unless you deliberately set your account to public, a stranger's scan shows only a sign-in prompt.
Every QR code is registered to one account. If a member of a different account scans your container, they see "Not your container" β never your contents β and you get an email telling you which container was scanned and by whom, plus a β οΈ entry in your Activity tab. So a mixed-up box announces itself: the wrong scanner learns it isn't theirs, and you learn exactly where your box ended up.
